Kolkata Metro will operate a reduced number of trains on the Blue Line (Noapara-Dakshineswar to Kavi Subhash) on Eid, with services cut from 262 to 236. According to an official notification, 118 trains will run on the up line and 118 on the down line. The first metro from Noapara will depart at 6:50 AM, while the first services from Kavi Subhash and Dakshineswar will leave at 6:50 AM and 6:55 AM, respectively.
Night services will remain unchanged. The last metro from Kavi Subhash to Dakshineswar will depart at 9:30 PM, while the final train from Dakshineswar to Kavi Subhash will leave at 9:28 PM. Additionally, a metro train will run from Kavi Subhash to Dum Dum at 9:40 AM. Regular schedules for the first metro services will be maintained despite the overall reduction in train frequency.
The Kolkata Metro authority has confirmed these adjustments for Eid operations, ensuring that first and last train schedules remain unaffected. However, the number of trains running throughout the day will be lower than usual.
